Hero quote

Abraham Lincoln once said "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a mans character give him power". This means adversity can be stood by anyone, power can show the true mask behind someone's capabilities. I absolutely agree with this quote ,power can do so much to a person which can change a persons ways of being. This can be clearly seen when hazel finds that Augustus was a cancer survivor he felt superior to anything. When you take advantage of that it can sometimes back fire. He would pull out a cigarette without lighting it just because he could ,he would run and do exercise, he was happy and was very sociable.

Stranded

Its March 20, 2016 Ralph, Ray and Sean are stranded on an island its been days maybe weeks and we still haven't been found. The only supplies we have will soon be running out , finding different techniques to gather supplies from the island for survival. Sharks have been guarding the whole island ever since they got there so theirs no way they could escape or even attempt to right now. The island has almost no freshwater for is to drink its been mixing with the salt water ,making the water taste unpleasant. I can see ray trying to stay hydrated as much as he can ,scrapping his bamboo pot that we had learned to make against the sand to gather the freshwater. Me and ralph tried catching fish for food but the sharks made it difficult to catch anything eating fish as their meal too. Its been days and nights we're starting to feel weaker .The hot sun wasn't helping at all feeling the hot suns rays hitting against my chest my shirt was no longer a shirt ,it looked dirty and torn up as if I had handed to the sharks to play with it for a while. Ralph and ray had started to given up we didn't know how long we had been here ,but we here long enough to learn how to build shelter and gather food every night. Just when we thought we giving up on all hopes a boat was close by it was close to the island in the night of darkness we were woken up by a sight of light.Ray had brought a flash like with him that we suddenly relased could help us get out of her and get the boats attention. When i grabed the flash like and turned it off and on,off and on ,signalling S.O.S coding the boat miniced the same after a while of doing it.The light was getting closer we stood up to wave our skinny hands in the air .We were saved.

I am hazel

I am powerful and brave
I wonder  if I will make it out alive today
I hear my heart pounding

I see sick people everywhere
I want to be happy and healthy
I am powerful and brave

I pretend to be not care
I feel scared and solitary
I touch my oxygen tank
I cry for another living day
I am powerful and brave

I understand not everything is beautiful
I say to myself ill live another day
I dream of being healthy like I was once
I try to not give up on faith
I hope for this to go away
I am powerful and brave

I am Mia

I am  brave and fragile

I wonder  what’s after this?

I hear  the monitor monitoring my heart rate

I see  the hole in my chest

I want to be freed from here

I am sharp at seeing all the hours pass by

I pretend like am not worried

I feel hurt and alone

I touch my wounds and cuts

I cry because am left with nothing

I am confused and hurt

I understand this has to be happing for a reason

I say “am okay” to myself everytime I wake up

I dream of being with my family again

I try not to remember the past

I hope I can just get out of this place
I am trapped and alone

Defining Hero

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to perserve and endore in spite of overwhelming obstcales" - Christopher Reeve .
The quote has a very direct meaning in what christopher see's it as a way through what his eyes saw when playing superman and being himself in the real world. Meaning a hero doesn't let just any obstecles get in his way and keep his real emotions from showing up when he's actually hurt and devestated from inside.
I agree with this defention of hero, I have always found everyone who's worth admiring or called a hero has termondous amount of strength and overbears any obsticales that comes in their way.
In my life my dad has always been my hero , he's life story has been filled of hurt and struggle but yet he's overcame all of that and has becomed the man he is today. Hardworking, caring and ambitious he's taught me that you can do things that you thought you couldn't if you work for it don't expect someone to just hand it to you cause no one on this world just does. He finished school when no one else did and also managed to go to college for a year cause he knew it would be better for his future.

In my book If she stayed the main charachter mia has increatiable strength not crying when seeing her father pale, white and ice cold on the side of the rode after the car crash. Her mom stabbed across the chest dead , with yellow eyes still open from immediate fright.
People around her call the ambulance and when they get there shes trying to find her little brother teddy, at the hosiptial she hears they talking about him.Shes hoping he'll still be alive and not anymore injured then her.So that right away says that shes not selfish and shes fcing many obstales all in one time. Such as losing her parents and also losing her brother , being serverly injured her lungs not letting her breath.
